Summary of Changes since Demo Day 39  38

  • New Stuff
    • Added new mode: Gun Game; Get kills to cycle through weapons. First player to get a kill with all weapons wins.
    • Added new mode: Kingmaker; Pick up the flag and hold onto it to accumulate points.
    • Re-added Eggplant Hunt mode
    • New Map: Filtration (DM, CTF)
    • Added 1 new weapon: Tyrrazan Reaper: Weapon properties vary depending on the distance between the player and their mouse.
    • New Active Item: Flashbang
    • New visual effects for moraygun, love bow, grenades, bombs, 
    • New weapon sfx
    • 1 new song: Golden Glow

    • Added mode modifiers to death match, ctf, gun game
      • 0-Gravity, Invisible Players, Visible Enemy Hp, Frictionless, Tiny Players, 2x Speed, Slo-Mo, Medieval Mode, 
  • Modes
    • CTF: teams must recover their flag before capturing enemy flags.
    • Football: Weapons now have infinite ammo
  • Settings
    • Added first-to-x score option for deathmatch, ctf and football modes
    • New crosshair options. Go to Settings -> Display -> Crosshair to change.
  • UI
    • Level selection ui in hub has been tweaked. Host now chooses mode before choosing a compliant map
      • random map option has been temporarily disabled
      • Eggplant mode has been temporarily disabled
    • New spectator ui. Spectators can now use RMB to cycle through spectator targets to follow.
    • Score Window (hold tab) is now sorted by score and colored based on team alignment
    • Team Score UI in upper left side of screen is now colored as well
    • Colors for non-team aligned players now shows up as white instead of black text
    • Timer ui displays leading 0 for  single digit seconds 
    • Fixed incorrect weapon descriptions


Muh Balance

  • Airblast: Hitbox size decreased by ~15%, Hitbox duratioin decreased (0.5s -> 0.25s)
  • Players now regenerate fuel quicker (8 per second -> 20per second)
  • Fuel regen is now disabled by 0.75s after hovering and 1.5s after airblasting
  • Boiler: Projectiles speed increased by 50%, Projectile lifespan decreased (0.5s -> 0.35s)
  • Bouncing Blade: Attack Cooldown increased (0.3s -> 0.35s), Max bounces decreased (7 -> 5) Projectile lifespan decreased (4s -> 3s)
  • Charge Beam: Projectile size increased by ~25%
  • Cola Cannon: Base damage increased (10 -> 11)
  • Flounderbuss: Reload duration decreased (1.0s -> 0.8s)
  • Kamabokannon: Attack Cooldown lowered (0.08s -> 0.06s), Projectile Speed increased by ~10%, Base damage increased (18 -> 21)
  • Maelstrom: Tornado projectile now has negative knockback (will slightly pull enemies towards the center instead of pushing them away) 
  • Nematocydearm: Clip size increased (4 -> 5) 
  • Party Popper: Base damage increased (58 -> 61), Confetti damage increased (19 -> 20), Reload duration decreased (0.75s -> 0.6s),  Projectile/Confetti size increased ~20%, Projectile gravity removed 
  • Pearl Revolver: Base damage increased (35 -> 37) , Knockback increased ~33%
  • Puffballer reworked: Click and hold to fire a projectile that moves after the mouse briefly. Release to detonate.
  • Reticle Strike: Reticle creation speed increase by ~40%, Reticle explosion delay increased (0.5s -> 0.6s)
  • Slodge Nozzle: Base damage increased (8 -> 10). Slow amount decreased (-80% -> -60% Movement  )
  • Stickybomb Launcher: Explosion damage increased (50 -> 55)
  • Vajra: Base damage increased (28 -> 44), Chain damage decreased (25 -> 20), Projectile speed increased by ~12%
  • Vine Sower: Projectile speed increased by ~5%. Effect of gravity on projectile reduced. Min/Max Vine length increased (3 -> 4, 6 -> 7). Vine growth speed decreased by ~25%. Vine lifespan decreased (2.0s -> 1.25s)


  • Ancient Synapse: Delayed damage over time reduced (25% -> 20% of total damage per second)
  • Au Courant: Reload speed reduction decreased (-40% -> -20%)
  • Benthic Desires: Hp regeneration increased (4 -> 7) Fuel regeneration increased (8 -> 14)
  • Bloodwood's Glove: No longer makes Deep Sea Smelter overheat faster
  • Briggle's Bladed Boot: Stomp damage increased (70 -> 80) 
  • Brittling Powder: Fragment damage increased (10 -> 12),  Frag speed increased by ~50%
  • Bucket of Batteries: Lightning damage increased (8 -> 11) 
  • Castaway's Travelogue: (Reworked) (2-slot) Regenerates 30 fuel upon running out of fuel. Cooldown: 10 seconds.
  • Catalog of Want: Now has a 2 second cooldown. Hp cost reduced (6 -> 5 Hp per 1 second of charge gained)
  • Crown of Thorns: Thorn damage increased (20 -> 24), Thorn speed increased by ~20%
  • Day at the Fair: Bonus max hp increased (+25% -> +35%) 
  • Emaudeline's Prism: Attack speed reduction increased (-30% -> -60%) 
  • Faraday's Cage: Damage reduction reduced (-60% -> -50%) Fixed a bug that caused user to regenerate fuel when receiving damage with little fuel
  • Feeling of Being Watched: Bonus attack damage reduced (+50% -> +40%)
  • The Finger: Emote damage increased (60 -> 75) 
  • Heart of Speros: Fuel cost increased (50% -> 65% max fuel per clip)
  • Kinesis Lens: Slot cost increased (3 -> 2)
  • Humanity Module: Bonus active charge rate increased (+40% -> +50%) 
  • Kinesis Lens: Homing power decreased by ~20%, Slot cost increased (2 -> 3)
  • Kumquat: Heal increased (25% -> 35% of max Hp) 
  • Peer Pressure: Summon cooldown increased (8s -> 11s) 
  • Ship in a Bottle: Ammo capacity bonus increased (+45% -> +50%) 
  • Sound of Seagulls: Hover cost reduction decreased (-25% -> -20%) Slot cost reduced (2 -> 1) 
  • Tenuous Grip on Reality: Invisibility duration increased (100% -> 150% of reload duration) 
  • Tunicate Tunic: Now gives an additional +10% max hp 
  • Typhon Fang: Slot cost reduced (3 -> 2) 
  • Vestigial Chamber: Explosion damage increased (22 -> 28)
  • White Smoker: Hover cost reduction increased (-10% -> -15%) 
  • Wrath of the Frogman: Missile base damage increased (18 -> 24) 


  • Autoreloader: Attack speed boost now scales with weapon clip size.
  • Samson Option: Base damage decreased (75 -> 50)

Fug Bixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused ctf mode scoring to be based on kills
  • Fixed a bug that made mouse wheel scrolling not work on clients
  • Fixed a bug that caused screen to be black for clients after host disconnected during results screen
  • Fixed football map not having any weapons spawns
  • Fixed 'enter' not closing dialog box
  • Killing yourself without having taken damage no longer awards you a point
  • Jump Kick no longer kills the user
  • Spectating a player that dies now properly targets their respawned player
  • fixed bug where killscore would override scoring condition for team games
  • Fixed a bug causing some client particles to be tinted incorrectly
  • Fixed weapon spawners on moving platforms not moving for client
  • Fixed a bug causing client mouse inputs to not take timestamp into account
  • Fixed a crash during the False Sun boss fight
  • Fixed darkness shader persisting after exiting the maze in single player
  • Fixed arena mode not appearing in single player hub
  • Fixed bg shaders not being accesible in single player hub
  • Fixed a bug that caused bg shader to not work after reconnection
