New Stuff

  • Players now have passive damage resistance scaling to the number of unique enemy players that damaged them recently.
    • "Recently Damaged" depends on the amount of damage dealt 
    • For example, inflicting 40 damage to a player will count as having damaged them for 5 seconds and is accumulative for multiple instance of damage.
    • This "Recently Damaged" counter is also used to keep track of Kill Assists which are now visible in the scoreboard and results screen.
  • New  (And Reworked) Artifacts
    • #1 Boss Mug: (1-Cost) Create a Healing Field upon receiving damage
    • Carloc's Thesis: (3-Cost) Slightly bends the trajectory of incoming enemy projectiles
    • Ersatz Smile: (2-Cost) User inflicts +80% Backstab damage
    • Jury-Rigged Bindings: (3-Cost) Occasionally fires one of your inactive weapons when attacking
    • Leatherback: (1-Cost) User receives -60% Backstab damage
    • Luminous Esca: (1-Cost) Reworked. Now gradually blinds nearby enemies
    • Ol' Faithful: (3-Cost) Reworked (kinda). Upon spawning, equip the weapon you selected in slot 1 while in the hub (As opposed to the default speargun)
      • Only has an effect with Weapon drops enabled  (or other mode modifiers that affect starting loadout)
      • The original "Ol' Faithful" still exists, but has been renamed "Vow of Empty Hands" and now grants +15% Clip Size instead of Ammo Capacity
  • Players can now join mid-match
    • Joining mid-match only works in modes where players have infinite lives; otherwise players will join as spectators
    • Joining during team matches will automatically assign new players to the least-populated team
  • Host can now spectate
    • Press 'E' to open navigation menu in hub to select a level when spectating.

Muh Balance

  • Bouncing Blades: Base damage increased (39 -> 42)
  • Tyrazzan Reaper: Min damage increased (16 -> 25)
  • Vine Sower: Projectile speed increased by ~17%
  • Call of Walrus: (Reworked) Now buffs self and nearby allies with +30% Damage and +15% Attack Speed for 4 seconds
  • Flash Bang: Cooldown reduced (11s -> 9s). Blind amount rescaled
  • Honeycomb: Bee release duration increased (1s -> 1.5s) Number of bees unchanged.
  • Abyssal Insignia: Now gives +10% Attack Speed at 50% Max Hp and increases to +50% as Hp decreases (instead of a flat +45% at 20% Max Hp)
  • Amdahl's Lotus: Hp regeneration increased (30 -> 40)
  • Ancient Synapse: Delayed damage rescaled (2 + 2% total damage -> 1 + 1.5% total damage )
  • Blastema: Hp Regeneration duration decreased (5s -> 4s) Total Hp regenerated unchanged
  • Brittling Powder: Frag damage increased (12 -> 15)
  • Bucket of Batteries: Lightning chain targets increased (3 -> 4)
  • Buttonman's Buttons: Reload speed increased (+10% -> +15%)
  • Crown of Thorns: Thorns cooldown decreased (0.6s -> 0.5s)
  • Day at the Fair: Knockback vulnerability reduced (-175% -> -150%)
  • Diatomaceous Earth: Buff duration increased (40% -> 50% Active Item Charge Time), Damage resistance increased (+60% -> 75%)
  • The Finger: Emote damage increased (75 -> 90)
  • Gluttonous Grey Glove: Medpak heal increased (20 -> 25% Victim's Max Hp)
  • Gomez's Amygdala: Buff duration increased (2s -> 3s)
  • Heart of Speros: Fuel cost decreased (65% Max Fuel -> 60% Max Fuel / weapon clip size)
  • Honeyed Tenebrae: Bee resistance increased (+70%  -> +80%)
  • Matter Universalizer: Fuel regen increased (60 -> 75 on player kill, 20 ->25 on monster kill)
  • Noctilucent Promise: Invulnerability duration decreased (4s -> 3s)
  • Pepper: Damage increased (8 -> 9)
  • Vestigial Chamber: Explosion damage increased (28 -> 32)
  • Wrath of the Frogman: Missile damage increased (24 -> 26)

Minor Changes

  • Significantly reduced size of most sync packets (Will hopefully reduce packet loss)
  • Team selection will no longer choose similar colors
  • Spectator cam is now set to follow player at the start of levels
  • Players no longer drop spearguns in weapon-drop mode.
  • Map updates
    • Mostly tweaking weapon/fuel drops/drop-through platform placement
    • Rounded several corners in ctf_coquelicot and ctf_filtration for smoother movement
    • Spinny-Things in ctf_filtration spin a little quicker
  • Bot Updates
    • Bot pathfinding is now multi-threaded (hopefully improves performance)
    • Bots are a bit better at using Cola-Cannon and Tesla Coil
    • Bots no longer attempt to shoot through smoke-walls

Fug Bixes

  • Fixed crash when spectating dead players
  • Loading assets is no longer dependent on framerate
  • Anchor Smash can no longer be reflected
  • Fixed particle rotation being incorrect for Chain Lightning effects.
  • Bot fixes
    • Bots no longer focus on targets they cannot reach when other targets are available
    • Fixed bot's desire to pursue objectives being arbitrary
